The Community Wins

Both the credit union and the community flourish as a result of increased out reach. As a credit union expands their resources, new jobs are created. As these new job sprout, as does community pride and a sense of loyalty and security.

As a credit union’s potential expands, they have the ability to make a greater impact in the community. A stronger, more unified network of credit union branches will be able to reach out during impactful events such as charitable donations and volunteer work. A credit union’s connection with the community that supports it fosters relationships that will propel the credit union to grow as the community grows.

Many boards are concerned that outreach and support to the community will stop after a merger of a credit union. However this is not the case. We find that the merged credit union provides an even greater contribution to their community both financially and through volunteer hours.
